Ermelinda Costa founded Accents in Silver in 2005 in New Jersey, motivated by her deep passion for sustainability and ethical sourcing of recycled metals and stones. Drawing inspiration from art, history, and the natural world, she expanded the brand’s offerings into handmade jewelry in 2017. Accents in Silver is dedicated to creating timeless, meaningful pieces that prioritize exceptional quality, long-lasting durability, and a minimal environmental footprint. Every unique item is carefully crafted by hand, with strong partnerships built alongside family-run suppliers who share the same commitment to excellence and attention to detail. The brand consciously rejects mass-produced, soulless products, focusing instead on artisanal craftsmanship that endures through time and honors traditional methods.

We design each of our collections with the intention of creating pieces that can be passed down through generations, with minimal waste and minimal carbon footprint. Our jewelry is all made by local artisans based in Portugal and USA with expertise in traditional methods of crafting jewelry by hand.
